A notebook, not a service

There is nothing to register for here, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking cookies. Reading the site leaves us with no idea who you are.

Server logs

Standard entries per request — IP address, time, page, referrer, user-agent — kept so the site stays online and so abuse can be traced. They rotate on their own and are not linked to anything else.

Email

Write to [email protected] and we keep the message so we can answer it, and sometimes so we can follow up on a loaf that went wrong. No newsletter exists, so you cannot be added to one. Ask us to delete a thread and we will.

Photographs of your bakes

People send pictures of crumb, and they are used only to answer the question asked. If we ever wanted to show one as an example, we would ask in that same thread first.

Content delivery network

The site is served through a CDN, which handles request metadata including IP addresses to deliver pages and absorb malicious traffic. Nothing else third-party is embedded.

Your rights

Ask what we hold, ask for corrections, or ask for deletion. Realistically that means an email you sent us, and such requests are honoured quickly.
